Current Water & Sewer Rates

These are the water and sewer rates the Board of Directors adopted by Resolution No. 446 on June 25, 2026, after the Proposition 218 notice and public hearing. They apply to service on or after July 1, 2026; the first bills at these rates went out around August 1, 2026. The resolution sets rates for five years, through June 2031.

A note from the General Manager about your bill: Our rate structure changed on July 1, and we are reviewing and confirming every account. If something on your bill doesn’t look right, please tell us. Read the General Manager’s note.

Water rates (July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027)

Fixed monthly meter charge (no water is included in this charge):
5/8 inch and 3/4 inch meter: $36.01
1 inch: $60.14
1 1/2 inch: $119.92
2 inch: $191.94
3 inch: $360.12
4 inch: $600.32
6 inch: $1,200.28

Water usage charge: $0.61 per 1,000 gallons, for all water used, starting with the first gallon. All customers pay the same usage rate.

Sewer rates (July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027)

Base sewer charge: $41.09 per month. This includes up to 6,000 gallons per month of average winter water use.
Sewer usage charge: $6.85 per 1,000 gallons of average winter water use above 6,000 gallons per month.
Your average winter water use is your May meter reading divided by six (the average for November through April), until the District installs meters that can be read monthly in winter.

Example: a home with a 5/8 inch meter that uses 6,000 gallons in a month, with average winter use of 6,000 gallons or less, pays $36.01 + $3.66 for water and $41.09 for sewer, for a total of $80.76 for the month.

Fire service lines (sprinklers, hydrants and fire department connections with no household use) pay a fixed monthly charge only, equal to 15% of the meter charge for the same size. See the full rate schedule.

Rates for future years
Water rates go up on July 1, 2027 and July 1, 2028, then stay the same through June 2031. Sewer rates go up each July 1 through July 1, 2030. The full five-year schedule is in the Resolution No. 446 rate schedule (PDF).
