Plumas County Multi-Jurisdictional Local Hazard Mitigation Plan
Chester Public Utility District is one of the local agencies covered by the Plumas County Multi-Jurisdictional Local Hazard Mitigation Plan. The plan identifies the natural hazards that could affect communities in Plumas County and the actions local agencies plan to take to reduce the risk to people, property, and public facilities.
The District's Board of Directors adopted the plan by Resolution No. 442 on May 19, 2026. Having an adopted hazard mitigation plan makes the District eligible to apply for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) hazard mitigation grant funding for projects that protect the water and sewer systems.
